Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from Glanville!
We would like to wish all our Clients, Supply Chain, and our employees, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
2022 has been a busy year again for the Glanville Group. We are proud to have stayed committed to delivering what we promised at the beginning of the year!
So what have we been up to?…
Our Engineering and Planned Projects team have been working hard to strengthen their already strong position as a ‘go-to’ partner for key infrastructure schemes with our clients, including a design and build approach that involves early involvement, problem solving and innovation at the planning stage, right through to delivering successful schemes on site, teaming up with other parts of the group (CCTV, tankering, jetting, lining, geospatial) to deliver the projects in house.
Our NSA reactive teams have been busy developing the delivery model to provide the best possible reactive delivery to our key client, working closely with our delivery partner, Kier Utilities, a partnership that has brought together synergies, shared resources, and shared core values.
The company started the year with a commitment to complete the purchase of the new yard, develop the setup, and bring together core operational teams under one roof. It was an ambitious target, but thanks to the hard work of our people, we delivered this. We now have a strong transport warehouse that will set us on a footing for fantastic opportunities ahead. The Devon Cleansing team, CCTV team, Transport, Civils, and NSA for the region have now all combined forces under one roof.
Our Transport department moved locations during the year whilst we were developing, a challenge that our fitters took in their stride! We continue to invest in our fleet and technology, managed by the department, to support the whole business.
Our East depot, located in Highbridge, continues to go from strength to strength, maintaining the core team to deliver an array of Jetting, Cleansing, and CCTV projects. Working closely with our core clients such as the Environment Agency, Wessex Water, and Milestone, the team continues to repair, rehabilitate, and find solutions for the clients across the water infrastructure.
Our Geospatial department, like the rest of the business has seen significant growth over the year, welcoming many new faces, whilst maintaining our first class core team whilst investing in some interesting and useful technologies!
As ever our delivery departments are supported by the great work done by the company’s Core Services, these being HR, Health and Safety, Training, Commercial, Accounts, Marketing and Estimating. To manage the huge growth in turnover, these teams have all seen large growth and changes to support the business not only with the growth seen, but forecasted too. The Estimating team have now developed into a great support to procure the workload expected in the future with many clients, closely supported by Commercial to maintain a comprehensive delivery of the systems and financial delivery of each project. Health and Safety has continued to be at the forefront of what we do, to look after our people. The department continues to support the operations to deliver this, which has helped to maintain great results, striving to find better ways to keep our employees safe and healthy. This goes hand in hand with our determination to deliver the best training possible for our employees and what they do, something that has turned our training division into a force to be reckoned with! To add to all of this, we are now committed and focused on delivering our Net Zero goals too focusing on sustainability moving forward!
In addition to the above, our commitment to our employees has strengthened again this year with our HR and Marketing team, determined to communicate and listen to our employees with many new systems and communication channels to promote the great things they do.
