CCTV & Cleansing East Win Milestone Contract
Glanville East Cleansing and CCTV teams have had a busy few months as they continue to provide a wide range of services for our existing customers including Wessex Water, Milestone Somerset and North Somerset, Volker Highways, and South Gloucestershire Council. Congratulations to the team have recently been awarded the gully emptying contract for Milestone North Somerset, a great achievement only awarded as a result of the hard work they provide week in week out.
Cleansing East Manager, Nick Luke and his team recently undertook multiple shifts within a 120-hour “Blockade” for Onsite Rail (working for Network Rail) in Somerset where the line was closed for a new overbridge install and maximising the blockade. The aim was to assist with carrying out essential drainage works throughout a 10-mile section of rail tracks. We were assisted by multiple drainage contractors all working together to achieve the same goals – resolving the ongoing drainage issues and “Wet Beds” throughout this much-used section of track. By utilising experienced drainage and rail experienced staff we were able to deliver the works on time and within the forecasted timescales.
On top of this busy schedule, the highly experienced team of CCTV surveyors and confined space rescue have been carrying out an array of surveys across the South West including providing confined space rescue support in Bath assisting ISO Energy as they re-visited the Roman Baths for maintenance works. At the beginning of May, the team travelled to Polperro in Cornwall to complete a complex 1100m culvert survey for the Environment Agency. This survey required a stormwater culvert survey completed by a nine man team who went above and beyond, working together to deliver an in depth survey with an exemplary site following all health and safety procedures.
