Glanville Attends No Dig Live & UKSTT Awards
No Dig Live & UKSTT Awards in Peterborough
Glanville is committed to pushing innovative techniques across our divisions with efficiency, quality, and effectiveness being at the forefront of our engineering works. In September, Glanville Contracts Director, James Goodman, and Head of Engineering, Geoff Willcocks, attended the No-Dig Live event in Peterborough to explore new trenchless technology available to the market. The event allowed us to scope out the latest innovations on the market as well as consult with suppliers and partners of Glanville such as RSM Lining Supplies Global, Public Sewer Services, Wincan, and Re-flow. Trenchless technology isn’t new to Glanville, we’ve seen a significant increase in quality output and decrease in cost and time on jobs since investing in the LED UV SewerTronics system in 2021. An idea of efficiency with this piece of equipment, the first completed job proved to have difficult access and would have usually had to allow for a tanker and the use of a conventional line which would have taken around 8 – 9 hours. But using this system meant the task of installing 60m of 150mm pipe, took around 80 minutes to complete.
We are looking at other ways we can improve and innovate across the business including pushing the use of drones in sewer surveys via our Geospatial department and integrating with partners Wincan, to collect detailed, standards-compliant inspection data to increase productivity with enhanced analytics.
A thank-you to RSM Lining Supplies Global for hosting us at the UKSTT Awards where we celebrated the greatest of achievements through innovative techniques across the industry in the past year.
